This webinar is designed to enhance the understanding of diversity by exploring the complexity of difference within a universal framework. During the webinar, will evaluate diversity in terms of race, ethnicity, religion, culture, gender, sexuality, ability, social and economic status as well as age, to assess how these attributes manifest systems of inequality. In addition to the challenges related to diversity, participants will also explore aspects of diversity as potential assets in creating rich and productive professional environments. Participants will then apply the knowledge they gain from these explorations to the framing, analysis, and generation of solutions to contemporary workforce problems. Finally, this webinar will provide employees with an understanding of diversity and tools to overcome implicit bias in the workplace, common pitfalls when implementing diversity initiatives, and recruitment strategies for ongoing organizational success. This webinar has been pre-approved for 1.0 hour of SHRM and HRCI recertification credit.
