From Yuppies to Zoomers, generational names and narratives turn over rapidly, tracking moments in time more than permanent traits. Generations at Work challenges generational mythology and helps HR leaders understand what’s really behind workplace friction — and how to design systems that remain effective as conditions (and labels) change, including what we can responsibly say about Generation Alpha.

Presenter Bios:

Paige Hall - Paige started her HR career after receiving her MBA from the University of Illinois with a concentration in Human Resources and Health Care Management and now has 30 years of HR experience under her belt.  She has worked in the healthcare, publishing, and property management industries, and is now in the non-profit sector as the HR Director for Cunningham Children’s Home.  She joined CIHRG in 2001 and quickly became involved as the Student Affairs Chairperson, then President-Elect and President.  She recently served again as President and is now the Membership Director for the ILSHRM State Council.  Most people who know Paige knows her passion for Disney and her love/hate relationship with running.

Eric Ferguson, GPHR, SPHR - Eric has been involved with CiHRG since 2001 and is a past president.  With over 29 years experience in human resources, Eric Ferguson serves as the International Employment Coordinator for System HR Services.  Eric is a founding member of the Global Employment Professionals in Higher Education. Eric previously managed business operations for Manpower.  Eric has his SPHR and GPHR  certifications.  Eric is passionate about history, art, languages, comics, and especially the Roman empire.

For in-person attendance, arrive at the main entrance of Illinois Terminal (45 East University Ave, Champaign) and go left to take the elevators to the 4th floor. There is free parking to the east of the railroad tracks in the lot that is just south of Chester St. and west of Water St. If you choose this parking, you would walk under the viaduct on Chester St. to head to Illinois Terminal. However, you can also choose to pay for parking in the lot just outside of the terminal. 

This session will be eligible for both SHRM and HRCI Credits.
