Jaclyn Lowenstein, Class Act
Our December meeting will feature a Public Speaking/Improv Workshop with theatre professional Jaclyn Loewenstein of Class Act in Champaign. In this session, we'll have fun exploring new ways to connect with others through vocal and physical expression. As we play a variety of theatre games, we'll take steps toward becoming more confident, dynamic communicators.
Since 1992, Jaclyn Loewenstein has worked professionally as an acting instructor, theatre director and audition coach at institutions in Chicago, New York City, Austin and – for the past 11 years – Champaign-Urbana. She is the Owner and Artistic Director of Class Act performing arts studio and teaches drama at Countryside School and Academy High. Jaclyn is active with The Station Theatre as a board member, actor, director and producer. She also directs Champaign Urbana Theatre Company’s Penguin Project, a musical theatre program designed for young people with disabilities.
